ReplyDeleteI believe this fierce ma'am above, is the redoubtable Madame Hilary Boyce, B, who is doing her good, community service and providing a much-needed bottom smacking service for wayward, recalcitrant daughters in the community (on behalf of exasperated, hardworking yet wishy-washy moms!) So how did we get here, already, B ?
In the late 1980s, I recall Janus introducing the New Moral Order and subsequently, good ideas for a community spanker, where naughty daughters gotten sent for just desserts on their bare bottoms! Oh my! Social service par excellence! This Janus edict originated in response to a decline in CP in British and European homes.
Why, in the 1960s and 70s, the routine harsh smack of the parental cane or bendy plimsoll upon the bare, sensitive botties of naughty daughters was a sign of good parenting, strict family values, unquestioned deference and sound societal mores (similar to the American South) But throughout the 1980s, Spartan necessary discipline for daughters was increasingly lacking. And so the idea of community service was promoted by Janus: hence Madame Hilary Boyce. Naturally, this was well before the Strictmoor Academy concept of 2017, by Lil' Miss Sarah Gregory, based upon strict, 1960s maternal discipline of daughters in the USA.
So mothers in the UK could happily outsource the spanking of their precocious, precious girls, knowing that reported, bad behaviour would result in an appropriate, sensible, knickers-down, bare bottom caning from Madame Boyce for their daughters. Loco parentis in an exemplary, easy & accessible fashion! Such an admirable local service in church communities was needed in the UK/Europe but not in America...where the soundly chastised bare seat of learning for daughters at home is very much par for the course in traditional families, thank the Lord, especially in the South. Don't spare the rod n all!
Cane to bare botty in front of God ...Well, yes, Oh my! I am age 63, already, and my younger sister & I gotten routinely punished with the dreaded rattan cane on our bare backsides from our God-fearing mother throughout our childhoods in the 1960s and 70s. Everything was super strict, loving, normal & Spartan in our Christian, conservative house. Their were no wishy-washy chastisements. Bare red bottoms from the cane were simply normal and necessary. Quite right too, B. That is how it should be, as Janus always envisaged.
