Oh dear! My mother was always so wise & correct, raising me with hard spankings in the 1960s & 70s. Those quotes above were two of her most used!! Oh my! When I left home as a student in the late 1970s, I looked back on my strict, happy, religious childhood & whoopings as a source of inspiration & aspiration. Mom & pop taught me right from wrong with Spartan chastisement on the sensitive bare skin of my botty (with a rattan cane) and I learnt accountability, responsibility & consideration for others. For sure it was conservative, restrictive, authoritative & goody two-shoes, but bare bottom spankings were the making of me & my sister. And y'all girls in our church back then! It sure gave us unwavering firm guidance, confidence, success and happiness a bunch!
I love photo 3 - the very essence of a naughty daughter who gotten her bottom smacked over her father's knee, in UK & USA alike. This is how it gotten done (as reported in Janus, Roue & Blushes) - dress up & panties pulled down. Botties were meant to sting. And they did!!! This is just so iconic and viscerally powerful & authentic. I saw my girlfriends have their bare botties smacked at home like this many times in Atlanta in the 1960s. It was all just normal, necessary family protocol & simply par for the course. And all moms n pops supported corporal punishment at that time. PC did not exist, B.
I also soooo love the first photo: so very Nu West style, late 70s, early 80s. This is just like a mother replicating the bare bottom spankings given to her daughter back in the day: in the style of Debbie and her real life mom, Margot (by Ed Lee's Nu West).
