    Mom takes action !
    "A switch in time, saves nine."

    "Well, I sure am gonna finish it right now, you girls !" said mom, who was REAL MAD !
    "And a pair of stinging botties already, will sure stop you two fighting again, and getting into trouble when you gotten older !"

    Mom is an absolute superhero here, B. Oh my! Ferociously kind in nature. Taking appropriate no-nonsense action to curb these impossible antics. Good Ol' Southern justice on the place provided by God.....as the lovely Church moms always say. I sure approve, B.

    My mother used to say "your backside needs a switchin', Brenda ", when I was naughty. Which meant dress up & panties pulled down for the cane on my bare botty. Oooof it was God darn harsh ! But absolutely necessary to teach me right from wrong in a perfect harmless, stingy fashion.

    The cane for my sister & me was kept in the cupboard (handy at the front !!!!): an uber-flexy, whippy-thin, top quality rattan implement, designed for causing serious discomfort upon sensitive, bare princess botties hence mom called it a "switch" in Southern parlance. Oh my!

    But we did not actually go out to "cut a switch" - unlike some of our girlfriends at Church, & unlike the great, wonderful Dolly Parton whose mom would send her outside to get a whippy, fresh green one for her bare bottom when she was naughty, growing up . Oh my! Dolly's narrative on chastisement, "a whippy sting your butt switch" is so compelling in her various memoirs.

    These two miscreants above will be as good as gold after their heat to the seat TLC. Right lil' angels already, B!

    The switchy-stingy-botty-hoppy-dance will clearly be in evidence once again. And moreover, it' is cathartic for mom for sure, who can now calmly continue with her tasks & chores. Sentence passed & administered in the correct fashion. Peace and good will resumed.
    Don't spare the rod. Don't spare the bare !
