Oh my! As a Southern belle, now age 63, I gotten raised in a strict, religious family & gotten often to feel the SMACK SMACK SMACK of my God-fearing mother's cane across my bare botty when I was naughty. It was ferocious!!! There was no other punishment in childhood for sister & me. Timeouts were light years' away!! Oh my! I wish I had known back then, it was called une fessee CUL NU! ha-ha!
Sounds soooo less Spartan in French !! Boo-Hoo!
