ReplyDeleteI love the second photo. My sister & I were very sporty, outdoor girls & we enjoyed tennis, track n field, cheerleading & other activities throughout our childhood n teens. This photo is authentic because, yes, our mom (usually, sometimes pop) would have to raise a sports skirt & pull down a pair of cotton panties so that we could be chastised on our bare bottoms with the cane in the normal way. We were not spanked outdoors or in public. All whoopings were in private (and always on our bare buttocks)
It was all very harsh, loud & indeed colourful. First, because the cane made our bums very red (plus we screamed!) and second, because sister & me, as fair-skinned girls, gotten deep, golden brown, starkly defined sun tan lines al over, except... on the orthodox surface for punishment, of course!!!
And so yes, our fairy-chubby, squishy-soft botties hidden beneath our panties, were naturally still whiter-than-dazzling-snow-white & offered sadly...(with our knickers duly pulled south!)... the purest of sensitive, fair, porcelain-smooth skin for an appropriate, well-deserved skelping by mom with her rattan stick!! The girl in photo 2 gotten a nice, suitably-white bum!
Oh my! For naughty sister & me, it actually felt like mother had poured a whole kettle of boiling water all over our bare botties!!! Well, that was the idea of her buying the cane - except of course, a tough love, maternal, bare bottom spanking is totally harmless!!
The first photo shows a naughty daughter, with scriptures open on the table. "Spare the rod spoil the child" Again, this arch-conservative, super-Spartan scene is wonderful. And it so aligns with my strict upbringing - photo one shows what my bare bottom canings were like in my mother's Christian-obsessed strict house in the 1960s!!
I also like photo 4. Sporting a lovely, conservative, church-complaint blue dress (sans culottes) She is such a cheeky lil' marshmallow cutey who gotten her tender bare, bubble-gum botty smacked hard by mom, for her bad behaviour. Lovely pristine, white, ankle socks n sneakers. She makes a spanking seem so normal & necessary...which of course it was!! PC & wokerati platforms never existed, just mommy's cane in the cupboard for her naughty bare bottom!
