A few Waldo drawings

You wanted to see my knickers....

Not to worry Mom, I am not talking to these boys, they are only watching me on the swing...

  1. Boo-Hoo! So love the first pair of drawings, B: especially the whiter-than-alabaster-white botty reveal & the golden sun tan lines demarcating the naughty target! Yup! That was a rite of passage for y'all girls in yore...tan lines & porcelain white bottoms uncovered for austere justice called tickle-tail, AKA, heat to the seat!

If the window was open, the loud princess wailing & the unmistakable harsh smack of cane on bare buttocks provided a clear message to neighbours about behaviour & discipline. Back in the 1960s, our pious, elderly neighbours heard the exact same salutary sound & would congratulate our mom (later, over coffee n cookies!) on her never sparing the rod for me & my sister! The Church & all suburban folk advocated the very same, already. All par for the communal course (and cause!)

Drawing three is funny, B! Sing n dance now, "everybody was kung fu fighting!"
I heard about Waldo's sad passing this year, via your Blog, B, thank you. God bless!
    Hugs, Brenda xx

  2. The tan lines for the first one does makes it look more bare.
For the second one she is lucky that the window is closed, reminds me of the opened window of my Echo story.
I especially like the knickerless on the swing...
    Thanks and hugs
    B xx
