Yes, cane to bare botty was how Mr Jardine & Elizabeth Davenport chastised their daughter at home. No surprise, it was normal.
Back in the 1960s, when I asked my God-fearing mom why she always pulled down my panties for the cane, she said, "because it is punishment, Brenda!"
SMACK! Oh my! Oh dear! Boo-Hoo! I was forever damned by the brevity & purity of her response. Such normal, Spartan justice, B. I was bound to a happy, strict existence of goody two-shoes behaviour coupled with harsh brattitude adjustment with the "rod"!
