Oh my! That last photo is so nostalgically visceral, B! I felt it the first time I saw this image, 40 years' ago. And what a fave it has been. Justice is appropriately served here with a well-tanned bottom for a naughty lil girl. Spartan admonishment is normal and necessary, B.
I recall that this lovely story was the prototype for the "new moral order" crusade, celebrated in Janus over various editions. Sure takes me back to punishment at home: my sister's poor botty looked exactly like that after mom's cane had rectified her goofing about in church in the 1960s! Oh my! And my bottom too of course, in the mirror, back up in my room. Boo-Hoo! It's visceral, authentic and memorable. And normal. Ouchiees to botties! Nice one, B :-) Big hugs n many thanks! Brenda xx
I so remember this wonderful scene from Janus 15 way back in March 1982, B. Oh my! Forty two years' ago nearly. Beyond mesmerizing in my book, B!
First, the punishment fits the crime here on this story & I so loved the final picture with the cane! She is such a naughty darn miscreant B, and thank the lord, her botty looks so appropriately stingy & sore, and sooooo very authentic looking here to in irs morass of redness (Ouchieees!). A well-chastised bottom she gotten here. And I sure have no sympathy!! In fact: just like my backside looked after (a fairly regular) panties-down caning from our mom in the 1960s. I saw my sister getting those a whole bunch too: bare red bottoms were an important, integral aspect of family life for us...and most Southern belles, in fact. Boo-hoo!
Moreover, his model is the lovely Antonia Du Bois. And I discovered that her fairy-soft botty looked exactly like that in the final photo in real-life growing up when she was naughty, because she was raised at home, to feel the cane from her strict father!!! A later Janus interview saw her recounting how she always gotten her knickers puled down in yore, to receive the paternal cane on her bare buttocks to make it count. Fascinating! And quite right too! The cane is designed for the bare botty at home for serious misdeeds! No need to smack & sting through clothes.
And of course, this was the normal proper procedure for a well-smacked backside for British daughters back then, prior to the advent of wishy-washy PC nonsense, B.
