ReplyDeleteI remember the first picture from yore: a front cover of Fessee magazine in the late 1980s, I seem to recall ?
Al fresco spankings were common in Georgia when I was growing up in the 1960s. Pretty, 1950s dresses gotten hoisted, 1950s princess panties gotten lowered to knees, and soft, alabaster-white botties gotten smacked good n hard in a shady, quiet corner (that gotten rather noisy!!)
It was usually the SMACK! SMACK! of an exasperated mother's hard, experienced hand, or perhaps a hairbrush dutifully retrieved from her purse or sports bad. Oh my! Yes, the sound of daughters' smacked, squishy, bare bottoms resonated around the the park, the mall, the store, the parking lot & the church! There was nothing but applause, approval, authority & fierce advocacy for our red, sore princess botties in the great outdoors, B!
