An Oaks and Pines Day

Thank God for alarm clocks... I was up ten minutes before the wake up bell, and already dressed for the morning exercise routine. I was having a tall glass of orange juice mixed with sparkling water when I heard,

"GYM KIT ON! OUTSIDE FOR P.E.! HURRY UP!"

With great consideration she repeated her kind invite...

"
OUTSIDE FOR P.E! HURRY UP! MY OLD GYM SHOE IS WAITING FOR ANY LATECOMERS!"

After a routine of exercises which included toe touching we jogged into the nearby woods...

Next was showers and to dress impeccably for the uniform inspection. The teach on duty pulled your skirt up to make sure that we are wearing the regulation knickers. A few newbies who still hadn't sewn their name in their knickers had their thighs smacked

Finally it was breakfast time. Miss Ahlers and her team had set up the usual superb buffet with fried eggs, crispy bacon and sausages as well as fruit salad and cereals. One didn't starve at O&P !

All too soon it was time to run back to our dorm rooms to prepare our satchels. Mine was ready and I was already latching my bike on the trailer behind our school bus. Mr LeBoeuf, the O&P chauffeur blew the fog horn, and we were on the way to the Montreux International Campus.

A newbie wanted to know why we had classes at both O&P and the Montreux International Campus. I chimed, "According to Miss Temple who was a great old Principal, 'The answer is blowing in the empty space between our ears !' "

A few boys and boyfriends helped us unload our bicycles from the trailer, and we locked them into the campus bike-shed.

After a long morning of classes at the International Campus aka IC we had lunch at the campus Cafeteria. I had pizza and there was a great choice of toppings. We sat with friends and boyfriends for that great part of the day.

Shorter afternoon classes followed and we were eventually released. We retrieved our bicycles from the bike-shed and rode back to chateau O&P with our boyfriends from the neighboring Residence du Lac, aka RDL. Another part of the program we didn't want to miss !

We had mid-afternoon tea and Mrs Ahles famous cookies, before our O&P additional classes.

"Later I saw Fiona sitting on the bench outside a teachers study. "Huh? What happened?"
My petite brunette friend pulled a face. "Teacher thought I wasn't paying attention."
"And were you?" I asked with a wink. "It's impossible the way he's droning on all the time."

I had been a good girl, and before my homework I visited our stables with our horses, donkeys and Ellie our baby elephant...

  1. " I had been a good girl, and before my homework I visited our stables"

The cane rattles the back of the bedroom door, just a subtle hint of protocol.

I so love your "good girl" line here , B. It's a confident, performative stance from a goody two-shoes (slightly submissive by decree) dutifully mannered girl, who understands the importance of rules, etiquette and boundaries; and indeed the harsh consequences of evading them!

Why, I gotten raised exactly like that in the 1960s/70s (my mother sewed my name-tag labels into my 1950s, sensible, Christian- compliant, cotton, white panties) and I love the strict, conservative, crushingly- cute undertones of this line and context within the story, B.

Oh my! She sure had her name neatly sewn into her knickers by her redoubtable mom...who would then smack her bare botty with the cane good n proper, when the young girl's diligence and standards wavered!
CP is normal and necessary, B.
Just good, Ol' fashioned values that I hugely respect at O&P, B.
    Big hugs

PS, B: in my considerable experience, B, moms who carefully sew name labels into their daughters' knickers, will.also pull down those same knickers for proper corporal punishment on their bare bottoms at home when they are naughty! Strict, no-nonsense "ferociously kind" moms! Sure thing, B!!!

  2. Dearest, B, I gotten immersed in the world of "ferociously kind" moms for all my days!!! At church, coffee mornings, sports training, picnics in the park, outside school gates, on the beach & in the mall!!

I gotten lovingly & strictly raised by a stalwart of a ferociously kind mom in the 1960s/70s, along with my sister. And moreover, all my besties' moms were ferociously kind too, already!
I loved these superhero, redoubtable spanker moms & always sided with their no-nonsense strict discipline & etiquette: much to the chagrin of my (routinely spanked) princess-brat-buddies!!
Why yes, up came pretty 1950s cotton dresses, down came pairs of 1950s Carter's white, cotton-soft panties & tender, porcelain-dazzling- white pudgy bare botties gotten all ablaze with maternal fire!

The panties-down canings I gotten myself, from my mother throughout childhood were exactly what I deserved & needed. Corporal punishment was the absolute making of me, and indeed of most daughters in Georgia, I carefully observe. It was par for the course in Christian/religious/conservative families & bare-bottom spankings were guaranteed and never questioned. And, minus PC, it sure all made for a more peaceful, orderly, well-behaved episode at the shopping mall for y'all moms n daughters alike - the canes were good n handy n ominous n "threatening" in the cupboard for our very bare, sensitive botties. And yes, how very right that was too, B: "ferociously kind".
    Hugs n thanks
    Nostalgic Brenda xx
