I love the botty reveal on photo 4 & the gif, B. It was a familiar, yet compelling sight for me to see my sister's knicks pulled down for the cane from mom in front of God, B, back in the 60s.

A Janus letter from the mid 1970s - a good, strict father talks about smacking his daughters' bottoms in the normal fashion, & the importance of pulling down knickers & applying the cane to sensitive bare skin, rather than over protective fabric (aka clothing!). This is par for the course at home, contrasting with CP at school over clothed buttocks...
He says delightfully, "It just shows however, the benefit of removing the knickers when applying corporal punishment to a girl because my daughter was screaming and yelling in a manner which clearly indicated how effectual the punishment was. I gave her 12 strokes altogether and by the time the last one descended the entire surface of her bottom was a flaming crimson which had to be seen to be believed."
Well, quite right, B. Cane to bare botty for daughters in my book, B. That was my advice. Panties must come down for the cane!
Indeed, some of my strict African American church moms used to say to their daughters in Georgia, "I ain't got no argument with the seat of your panties missy!!"
Another lady writes beautifully in Janus about CP in the 1950s,
"Once when I was almost 11 my sister and I were running late for school but our room was mess! We decided that if we locked it and took the key with us then mom wouldn't find out and we could clean it when we came back.

Oh my! We girls learned at an early age, that the parental cane on a bare botty is perfectly necessary, safe & harmless. Yes, it stings! That is the idea. It is farcical & illogical to protect out tender botties from the cane. And it sure whips y'all into shape, B, as the Janus letters evidence in delightful style.
