Why am I laughing, B? That was actually my mom's "two stage" technique for my sister and me: bare legs smacked quickly in public (that was no big deal or a "spanking" as such). Oh dear! Then two naughty bare botties gotten the horrid cane properly and slowly when we gotten home (No rush! No half-measures. A proper smacked bottom!! Yes, for sure that was a big deal!) Oh my! That sure taught us a good lesson. How right she was, B!
