  1. The Seat of Learning: don't spare the rod

For sure B, such Spartan encouragement is welcome for ensuring industrious endeavours & performative aspirations are contained in-house (AKA homework & Bible Studies). Yes, the sensitive skin on our marshmallow botties serves as an appropriate surface to test the limits of bad behaviour and harness the scripture that "the Devil makes work for idle hands" (...and idle bottoms)

Moreover, photos 1-4 evidence how running the gauntlet of laziness versus good, hard study can end in a scarlet-sore backside for otherwise earnest, goody two-shoes girls. Who knew, eh B ? ;-) Quite right too!

Mellow Yellow - sooooooo love photo 5, B. Oh dear! Sore Blondie-botty-bots. Boo-Hoo! Yellow dresses & white panties were a standard outfit for me & my sister in the 1960s & 70s, B!!
Church compliant already ha-ha!! Oh yes!

And indeed it was typical & colourful, if wholesome n conservative garb for y'all Southern belles. The typical fashion colour of 1950s Georgia was "canary yellow", and naughty girl number 5 above, squishy-red botty inclusive, also has Converse sneakers, celebrating a warm embrace of all-American Brattitude :-)

Oh my! I called our lovely, sunny-bright, 1950s-style Atlanta yellow dresses (including lindy hop attire, of course) Pan Am yellow, B: as a pastel palette counterpoint to the totemic, Southern light blue of the iconic Pan Am air hostesses :-)
And I also love the yellow cutting-a-dash in the O&P Uniforms.

All so very Southern, B. Naturally, y'all daughters gotten our pretty yellow dresses raised & our dazzling-white, soft-cotton panties taken down to our knees, when we were naughty & needed our chubby-bare, tender-skinned botties soundly smacked with the cane, hairbrush, hickory stick or Southern strap! That was just normal & necessary societal mores back then. And how the redoubtable super-hero Church moms enforced it!!! Oh my! And it was exactly what we deserved, B.
Hugs n smackies: do lemon yellow dresses & raspberry red botties cause a zany colour clash, B?! :-)

  2. Yes, pic 5, I also love the shoes, so authentic. And pic 4 with her bum avoiding the chair, and white cotton knickers on the table...
    Hugs and smackies :)
