A super-super botty on show for CP here in my view, photo 6. Perhaps a Five Bar Gate with the cane for decorative purposes ? Well, it was a baker's dozen with the cane as standard in my book, B (and a mom's strict duty of care in the 1980s!!!)
Love the fifth photo, "Please don't take my knickers down!?" Why, again, sounds familiar ? Yes, it was frequent ask, B. A daughter's prerogative that request!! And always strictly declined, of course, I'm afraid to say!!!
Same panties down whuppin's for lil' Ol' me in the 1960s, my mother used to say firstly, "it is punishment Brenda! " (in response to, "why pull my knickers down for the cane?") And then she would say "a stinging bottom right now will stop you getting into trouble when to you gotten older" THE CANE? IT STINGS ON A BARE BOTTY, B!!! (that is the idea!)
I admire the strict O&P philosophy and modus operandi aligned with parental values & disciplinary advocacy, B. This photo montage reminds me of that. I loved the Janus letters in the 1970s, where schoolgirls got the cane or strap over knickers at school, but mom n pop would lower knickers & chastise on bare buttocks with the cane at home. I approve of that distinction, of course, B. That's how it was & should be.
One lady wrote how her own father, the Headmaster, would smack her over knickers at school, along with other girls, but then apply the cane to her de-knickered, bare-skinned bottom at home. That makes sense, B.
Oh my! Likewise B, another lady wrote how her single mother would send her & her sister to their uncle (mom's brother) to have their bottoms smacked. Their uncle believed in strict, traditional discipline, & would pull their knickers down & cane their bare botties as part of this loco parentis role. Well, it sure worked, B!! That was the punishment which was normal & common in the 1950s. The grateful mother approved of this regular, Spartan punishment which was a source of good, effective support, & helped her raise the two girls in a proper, responsible manner. Naturally, the uncle, a school teacher himself, would only use the cane over clothed bottoms for schoolgirls at school in the 1940s/50s. Wonderful photos, thank you, dearest, B. Hugs n smackies.
