Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! This is one of my fave photos of all time, B, thank you! Perhaps the definitive one for my memoirs' front cover!!!
This photo was a big moment for me. And it's the first time it appears on your blog. This naughty lil' cutey - chubby, soft botty n all - appeared in the very first edition of Blushes in March 1984. I remember it so well. It reminded me of my lil' sister getting the cane from mom years' earlier in the 60s & 70s (ditto for yours truly Boo-Hoo!)
So Blushes was brand spanking new. To compliment Janus and Roue. Oh that's a spanking rhyme, B :-) Blushes and some gorgeous naughty girls including the other famous "Blondie" AKA the girl with the big frizzy hair & chubby white bottom (who appeared in the second magazine of Blushes). These wholesome, spanked girls reminded me of my god darn self, B!!! I was well into my career in the Atlanta Corp, aged 25, when Blushes edition one was published, Spring 1984. Oh my!
These pioneering models in the late 1970s/early 80s, were usually "anonymous", as the named celebrities only first started to appear in Janus a lil' later in the mid-1980s, with Jane East and of course, most famously, Sophie Fennington.
Photo 3 - again truly sensational, B. I love it! My childhood in one photo, B! Love the position of her dazzling-white panties, sufficiently due south of the orthodox surface.
Yup! That is me getting the cane from mom in our living room in Georgia 60s/70s. I soooo love this photo which was published earlier in Janus Volume 9, number one, January 1980!
The front cover was just mesmerizing, B. Viscerall!! I remember it so well, already. The panties down, porcelain-white botty reveal (nice, stark sun tan lines too!!) & caning is really authentic. Ouchiees Boo-Hoo stingy botty!!
Aunty Jean punishes her niece Christine shown here rubbing her sore botty, in photo 3, for stealing money. The cane is on the shelf. Quite right too, B!!! White dress up, white panties pulled down. A darn good whooping! That is how it gotten done.
Yes, photo 3 is a superb still from a wonderful, early, silent Janus film, The Art of Caning, Part 1, 1979: filmed on super 8mm video cameras. This game changing super 8 camera, essentially invented the modern spanking film genre as we know it, B. Janus & Nu West were the pioneers of these amazing first, silent spanking films in 1977, eg, Late for School (1977), The Riding, Gym, and School Lesson films (1978/79) Amazing, B, thank you! Pic 3 is indeed special! Do you remember in Letters of early Janus a story about caning in the office and the naughty girl being issued a punishement skirt ? There was also a bw ink drawing. Yes, I love Derriere & Cul D'Or. As a student, discovering Janus & Roue in the 1970s, money was a scarce resource!! Later, in the early 1980s, working at the Atlanta Corp, time was a scarce resource. So I primarily focused on those two magazines & their films, B. For me, the golden era was 1976 to 1988. Alan Bell was perhaps the chief architect of the genre, B, & the most influential: a "Spankopreneur" if you will, B :-) x Roue ran from 1978-88.
Oh my! Janus from 1976 started to focus on domestic & schoolgirl CP. But, alas, after 1988, perhaps before, the emphasis shifted away from CP for girls at home & school towards contrived, artificial, glamour-model scenarios. I lost interest. These lacked authenticity, for sure. This change was caused by new legislation in the UK & Europe, & a decline in CP. Thank the Lord, that videos (& various producers like Red Stripe) then started to replace the magazines in terms of authentic Ol' fashioned schoolgirl scenes.
Thank the Lord too, that Sarah Gregory's incredible empire (including the mighty Strictmoor Academy & Momma Spankings) has redefined the genre this past decade. She sure gets the zeitgeist, B. And of course, your amazing Blog, these past three years, B ;-)....thank you!
Funny, but one of my real fave photos is from Cul D'Or volume 9, 1980s. A naughty girl has her bare bottom caned. Delightfully, her very dark, sun tanned legs, & her whiter-than-dazzling-white botty are so very stark & contrasting. Lovely! It's a black n white photo.
It actually looks like she's wearing tights and white knickers. This was the visual for y'all outdoor Southern girls, in yore, B. Our conservative, 1950s two-piece swimsuits kept our chubby botties way from the ultra violet light!!! Bikinis were forbidden. And so naturally, sun tan lines & porcelain white buttocks were a fact of life. Alas, our bare bums gotten tanned but... not sun tanned!! Big hugs, B :-) Nostalgic No-nonsense Brenda xx
