    But, one advantage (rueful, comic nostalgia) of those big, uncool, conservative 1950s soft, cotton, dazzling-white girly panties, B ?! Why, they sure covered the stripes on ya naughty botty!!! ha-ha! Sure thing. Nice n discreet, already. No worries about a southern breeze blowing your skirt up!

    And moreover, B, the large-sized, traditonal,1950s swimming costume bottoms did the same...and also gave y'all princesses pristine, porcelain-snow-white, fully-covered buttocks & ultra-stark- defined, deep golden sun tan lines (full tender-botty-skin coverage & protection from the Southern sunshine...if not the cane, sadly!!!)

      In Asia, they no longer get it in school, but the Mamak stores are selling plenty of these small canes, and the girls aren't always wearing miniskirts... How surprising!

    Yes indeed, B. The Asian tiger moms at the corporation provide me with details of the supply & demand for mamak canes in HK, Singapore & KL...and Atlanta!!! Ha-ha!
    Those water cooler moments, B!
    And more like longer conversations over coffee or bourbon off-site!!
    I've also written about my cohort of lovely Nigerian moms - fellow colleagues at work visiting regularly on business - who I have known for many years. Naturally, work forums progress to social networking etc.
    So I can assure you B, that "cane to bare botty" is most prevalent for naughty daughters & nieces in Lagos. Familiar, no-nonsense, CP accounts of aspiration, hard work...and firm discipline!! It's all normal & necessary And it's like Janus rejuvenated, B.
