  1. Ouch, the first pic stings more than others 😆
While in the last one it seems that this sting is not a problem for her! 😀

  2. Drawing number 3 - cane to bare botty.
Yes, it was normal & necessary for naughty daughters at home in good, traditional, households.

Oh my! Oh my! Sooooo love the colouring on one of my all-time fave pics, B. Awesome girl !
    Ouchieees to botties :-)
A New Moral Order in brand new colours, eh B ?
Why, I might take pic 3 & delicious new colours down to the store & suggest some "applied psychology" to the moms, whose y'all lil' princess brats are running amok in fear of naughty steps!!
(Cane to bare botty - or as I might call it "Mom's TLC & wellness and a naughty daughter's special, sensitive skin treatment !!!")

This new coloured version of pic 3 could adorn my memoirs front cover. That is how I gotten raised in the 1960s. Yup! The cane is best for naughty daughters' bare bottoms, B. Kept handy in the cupboard. Teaches right from wrong on the tender, orthodox surface. I love that phrase, parents who care, cane. I can't remember exactly when I heard that context ( decades ago, already) vis a vis smacked bottoms for Southern belle daughters at home. But I have always agreed with it !!!

This truly lovely pic (Janus early 1980s) shows a careless maid, B. Love the pretty, teale-coloured broken ceramic. Oh my! But in reality this is my mom punishing me (and my sister ) growing up in the 1960s & 70s. Knickers down for a baker's dozen with the whippy, rattan rod on my (authentic) chubby bare botty . Soooo love the gorgeous, pretty mauve panties, B, (ankle hugging)...mainly because we were conservative girls were only allowed plain white 1950s panties in childhood by our mother ha-ha!...all super conservative, Church-compliant knicks and strict in the Christian code & guise, B. And those cotton white panties gotten pulled down to out knees , already, when our dazzling-white, squishy-soft botties needed soundly chastising with the rod. Quite right too, B. discipline & punishment was appropriate, good n proper!

Later, in the 1980s & 90s, fellow Church moms asked me about raising daughters in the context of Christian discipline. Bare, red bottoms were agreed by y'all as an essential fact of life for Southern homes, so pray, which implement to use , Brenda ? Naturally, B, I always advocated "cane to bare botty". I saw no reason to digress from that salutary medicine for naughty girls, B. Oh my! Why, the strap & paddle were of course, key in Georgia, but some moms followed my advice & gotten a cane (top quality, thin , finest, whippy-flex rattan).

Some of our community moms, back in yore, incorrectly thought the cane involved long rituals & protocols, or bizarre, formal routines. (In fairness, perhaps the British schoolgirl scenario of Janus perpetuated this myth, already, ha-ha! Witness the wonderful The School Lesson, 1979)...but I explained in Church coffee groups, that the cane is quick, harmless, very effective for recalcitrant girls (cul nu of course) and the rattan, botty smacker could be rapidly retrieved from the shelf/cupboard and then it was just a simple, quick hands on head & shorts n panties down to knees, or indeed dress up, panties to knees for the cane to be practically & firmly applied to the naughty, unprotected, bare bottom over the armchair or sofa etc. Princess brattitude gotten adjusted, B ? Yes, "tough love", "heat to the seat", "don't spare the bare" n all, B!

Oh my! It's funny how those lovely, Ol' fashioned, strict Church moms would talk about baring & scolding & panties down procedures for the cane, hairbrush or strap ...often integrating their own corporal punishment memories into the conversations, B. It was all just normal & necessary aspects of Southern life, back then. Like mother, like daughter. As your wonderful pic shows y'all.
Sure thing, B. CP good. PC bad.
Hugs n kind smackies to ya!

    1. Yes, number two is great, but I find number 4 more inspiring.
Pop is a pharmacist and wants his daughter to take over, but she isn't doing too well at the pharmacy school.
"Knickers on the counter and raise your dress!"
      Whack! Whack! Whack!
      "OUCH! AIE! AIE!"
"Take your hand away or I'll smack your thighs for the whole village to see that you were again belted for poor grades..."
      Hugs and smackies ;)

  4. Ooh! Oh my! I love your thoughts on pic 4, B. I totally concur with you. We sure need more of that exact discipline for girls with poor grades, to improve y'all national standings: scientific, economic, artistic, & cultural values & achievements!
And pray, at least there will be some botty cream behind the counter already, B!
    Hugs n smackies
    Good Spartan Brenda xx
