    And fetching the cane already, in photo 3. Boo-Hoo!

    Yup! Sister & I gotten to bend our duly de-knickered, dazzling-white, bare-skinned botties over the sofa for mom's cane when we were naughty in the 1960s & 70s. The good Ol' living room sofa was where our sentence gotten passed & delivered.

    I remember it like it was yesterday - a rueful unbearable STING!
    Sure made sense, B. Nothing too it really (Boo-Hoo!) It sure was practical. And it was just normal, necessary discipline for y'all lil' princess brats, thank the Lord. Acutely stinging , bare, red bottoms were simply a rite of passage to ensure we were politely-mannered, well-behaved girls in good homes, B. Quite right too!

      Yes, pic 4, comfortably bent over the back of the old sofa, knickers shamefully down, bare bottom feeling so vulnerable...

    Yes, absolutely B, I ruefully remember as a child, learning from my strict, ferociously kind mother that when you are a naughty girl being spanked (with the cane for we daughters) by your mom or pop for bad behaviour , why, everywhere must feel comfortable (courtesy of the sofa arm, kneeling on chair cushions etc) ......well, apart from the skin on ya botty !!! Oh my! She was so right, B!! Pray, I sure agreed with her, but only in hiney-sight obviously, not at the time in the 1960s!!!
