    The sights n sounds of Ol' fashioned Georgia

    That GIF is extremely powerful for me, B. Oh my! Very visceral.
    I more than love it, already ha-ha! So funny. yet so fierce in my strict eyes. Definitely one for my memoirs, again. Well, on every pahe ha-ha!
    This iconic GIF & visual represents two sides of a dollar coin in my childhood purse in the 1960s & 70s, B. A vison of growing up in as a happy, sporty, religious Southern belle . Cheerleading say cheers !

    And then yes, the Spartan side of the sunny Southern coin. In our quiet sultry suburb, the smack of the cane across the sensitive, bare skin off two young naughty daughters' chubby botties could frequently be heard emanating from our house. It was the sound of a good, traditional mother disciplining her two young daughters with kind yet appropriately stern chastisement. Naughty steps had not yet gotten invented!!!

    With windows & doors ajar, the neighours often heard the sound of the stick smacking our bare-skinned botties. It was just normal, B. We went to church with them on Sundays, a lovely, kind elderly couple. And they applauded mom for using a proper "rod of correction" as a botty smacker for her daughters (a flexible, thin, quality, rattan cane) rather than the traditional Southern strap that was popular for girls like Brandi here. And of course, we young girls, my sister & I, only ever gotten the cane on our bare buttocks from mom (or from pop occasionally). That was the Christian way. Our pious neighbours always emphasized the importance of that to mom, too, already!!!

    Our mom was God-fearing and so strict. And how right she was, B. The rattan cane lived in the cupboard. That green cheerleading skirt was raised and y'all cotton panties came down to our knees expose that ultra-tender-skinned "orthodox surface" for the necessary maternal punishment in front of God.

    That girl in the GIF gotten it too, B. Just like me! Is there a danger of caning naughty daughters' bare bottoms at home, B ?
    Why, yes, sure thing, like mother like daughter: there is a real danger, B.

    There is a real danger that this lil' green princess angel in the GIF will grow up to be respectful, hardworking, responsible and accountable. Pray, like me, over the years, her very own bare, chastised seat of learning will be the making of a good citizen of Georgia State.
    It happened to me, B. And it will happen to her!
