    Sooooo love this, with rueful nostalgia - "your backside needs a switchin', Brenda" as my mom used to say. GULP! GULP! GULP!

    Why, that was me, bending over, with my chubby, squishy-white, fairy-soft botty duly bare & tender, awaiting the whippy, rattan cane at home in the 1960s/70s. The cane was kept at the front of the cupboard. No fear ! (....lost of dear !) Pray, hard n noisy on ya bare bum was simply par for the course when my sister or I were naughty lil' girls in yore. And for y'all daughters, God darn it !!

      There's something about proper white cotton knickers having fallen around the ankles of a naughty girl...
