Yup! Sure thing, B. A traditional, salutary cure for impossible brattitude, recalcitrant tantrums & bad behaviour. A remedy for the "Stingy Dare" antics, already, B!!! :-)
Oh my! Oh my! Oh my! Just glorious, B. Beyond sensational, this one. Pray, why have I not seen this before ? ;-)
Why, scriptures, diligent learning, serious homework, extra Bible class, performative gospel focus...cane to bare botty ? Yup! I sure remember all that. Boo-Hoo! Harsh but totally harmless & all just par for the course, B. All just necessary & normal. The seat of learning was for sins of the church!
I love every photo, of course, B. What a truly great montage. Number one shows a damsel in distress: perils of a naughty princess indeed.
Love number 3 as Kelly kindly explains the "rod of correction & the seat of learning" concept (so recall my mother routinely reminding me & my sister of that, already, in the 1960s.)
Photo 4 is a lovely delay, an inflection point if you will, B. Suspended animation. Calm before the storm (I fondly remember my 1950s dress & panties about to move in opposite directions for the cane).
Five is the "breeze on the botty moment of truth!" Goosebumps pending on the quivering marshmallows.
Perfect & necessary, B - max sting, max safety, moderate humbling.
And the final photo is the salutary simplicity of a well-smacked bottom. No silly, bizarre rituals needed, B. Yes, hands on heads & scolding can emphasise the stern sobriety & grave drama of it all. In essence it is just so simple: "Right then, a potty-mouthed tirade in the store already, is it missy ? Deculottee! CUL NU! Pour le canne!"
Dress up, panties down, cane to bare botty. VOILA!
