Wow! Awesome gif, B. Almost half-a-century in the making, the most famous spanking picture ever ? " From "back to college "edition of National Lampoon, September 1975. This was one of the first realistic spanking pictures I saw, B. It was beyond mesmerising. And Janus's early, pioneering editions followed for me only a few years' later when I "left home" as a student.
I loved this picture. To me it was awesome but yet normal, as y'all daughters gotten spanked on their bare bottoms at home. I sure did ! It was simply a household chore that needed doing, B! Purposefully & soundly. And regularly too! In the 1960s, sister & I gotten mom's cane on our bare buttocks whenever we were naughty. That was the punishment. That was the rule. Everything was Spartan, conservative & very strict in our religious family. It was typical & normal for y'all families in Georgia, and my besties at church, moreover. This drawing on the magazine cover seemed nothing but normal to me...but yet, it was still beyond captivating!!
It also shattered the paradox that bare bottoms were not shown in the media (or in spankings my childhood comics!) But yet, daughters only gotten spanked on their bare bottoms from mom n pop at home in my experience. I loved that cute paradox that accentuated strict, loving regimes & produced well-behaved daughters (sister & me included!!)... but I loved to search & discover authentic, bare bottom spankings in the magazines like this one...and Janus later in the mid-late 1970s, naturally.
Also love drawing two, B: a daughter's tantrum & feisty argument with papa ends in the appropriate "brattitude adjustment" fashion!
That's exactly how it should be, B. Ideally mom is fetching the cane!!! The vivid, cobalt-cute skirt (duly raised!) is wonderful, plus the goldilocks pig-tails: all lovely & cosy, wholesome-strict & very goody two-shoes :-)
And drawing one, love it, another appearance. Your colouring defines the line " a picture paints a thousand words"

Drawing one I colored a few months ago. Drawing two's coloring is more recent. I would have loved to create the gif for the Lampoon's drawing, its a fav! Its the first time I see a gif made for that drawing, and its great!
