  1. Lovely montage, B. This is Southern life !!
Good Ol' Hick'ry stick for y'all!

Drawing 2 - sooooo love this Janus classic, B. Papi is real mad. Spontaneity rules. Sometimes a smacked botty simply cannot wait eh ? Thwip-thwip-thwip. Her buttocks are perfect, and after my own, for sure ;-)
And yeeees, B - pretty boater hat in situ. Panties not in situ!! :-)
Boo-Hoo! "On the bare, young lady!" Par for the course indeed.

Switching bare seats...one Janus letter, late 1970s, from a father with two daughters stated, "I always use a freshly cut stick (hazel) from our garden and they must bare their bottoms". Well, absolutely right, B!

He continues "I'm a believer of corporal punishment...disobedience & insolence you can only correct with a stick and I use it...I take the culprits to our garden house by car"

Well, this "garden house" is the equivalent of the Southern woodshed in Georgia, B. Although that was just in rural areas naturally, B (Daisy Duke's n pannies pulled down), not in my Atlanta suburb!!
Whoopings were in the living room for y'all dughters! Drawings number 3 & 5 also align with this Janus letter from yore, B.

    Drawing 4 - is this Marie-Chantal in Germany, B ? :-)
Oh my! Rohrstock to bare botty. Boo-Hoo. That is how it gotten done (as I ruefully recall, B!!!)

Another Janus correspondent writes in the 1970s (living in Germany after the war, typical of British & American officers) about chastising his daughter with the traditional, ubiquitous household implement, the German Rohrstock cane, with skirts & petticoats hoisted, & knicks duly pulled down. Well, it stings!
"Spankings were given on the bare bottom". It's a very brief, delightful letter about the Rohrstock, albeit with scant further details given.

Oh my! This art sequence reminds me of the wonderful Dolly Parton who wrote about "Good Ol' Tennessee whippings", in her memoirs, B. She gotten the strap from pop & a "fresh, cut green switch" from mom, both across a bare bottom, when she was naughty growing up.

Regarding the OBB, B, (alliterations aside) both Tina Turner & Grace Jones gotten the switch across their bare bums. I wish I had more information about other OBB candidates regarding the switch in real life, specifically for this great montage above, B.
    Hugs n switchy-botty-smackies, B,

    1. Lovely comments and thanks :)
How do you remember so much about Janus' letters ?
BTW Brigitte Bardot got the belt with her skirt up till 16.
My favs are number 4 with her braids flying, and number 6 which was edited and needs to be further edited with a blush to her cheeks, upper cheeks!
      Hugs and switchy smacks :)

  2. Yes, love number 4 with braids. So Spartan & authentic. Mom is no-nonsense! That is how it should be. I like this one.

Why, that's interesting on BB, thanks, B. Always love factual details. Love the BB Badge in Girl Guides part 5 on Asa's.

Yup! I do have a number of Janus' letters (magazines) & I am gradually acquiring more, B :-)
Oh my! Earlier this year, I gotten an idea to integrate some of the gems & lines in these decades' old letters, into my comments to align with your awesome stories, art & photographs, B. It gives me a varied writing content & a lil' focus, if you will. Do you like my letter quotes & references, B ?

Some letters, all vintage late1970s & discussing even the 1940s; can be infinitely verbose, B, & so I do select hidden gems (quote verbatim) & reduce the narrative to keep y'all sane & timely, B!! Ha-ha! Oh my! I soooo love the Janus' letters & factual, anecdotal contexts.
Big thanks & hugs n fierce but kind smackabots to ya, B :-)
