Soooooo love drawing 1. Visceral memories of my own childhood spankings. Hands on head, beside mom. Scolding & knickers going south for a bare bottom thrashing with the rattan cane. It was normal!
Love the crushingly cute way her panties are dislodged downwards, revealing her white nates, via mom pulling down the skirt to her knees. Why yes, the panties will now follow! The evidence is indeed her other daughter: in the corner, hands on head, bare botty smacked scarlet-sore, knicks at half-mast :-)
In the 1960s, B, I was fascinated to hear & especially witness the baring techniques of church moms when spanking their daughters. Indeed, y'all besties talked about our spankings, & the baring process. No details were left uncovered (pun intended)
One lovely detail, B - I always remember wearing those cute elasticated, soft, velour/cotton shorts, B (no pockets) which seemed ubiquitous for girls in conservative families in the 1950s n 60s. For a smacked bottom time, mom would grab both the waistband of those shorts & our panties, and pull them both down in one, big swift tug. A mighty pull-down. VOILA! BOTTY LAND, B!
Our chubby, soft botties all bare, fair n tender, in an instant for the terrible rattan rod, B! Scary stuff.
Oh my! I loved seeing my sister's dazzling, alabaster-white bum revealed a toute de suite! RAPIDO! Her two elastic waistbands tugged down to knees in a second. She had hands on her head, blubbing & crying (no time to protest when your two elastic waistbands - protective botty fabric- are travelling south at the speed of light, B!!!)
I was always standing discretely yet immediately behind her, out of sight....a perfect view of the knicks down, bottom baring.
Mom then guided my sister over her knee (in earlier years) & then mainly the sofa/armchair in later years, for her trusty, rattan cane ...to make her bare, sensitive-skinned botty sting like absolute Hell on earth! That was our punishment "in front of God".

Loco parentis was a crucial factor for many Janus letters, B. And an essential element of my Southern upbringing.
I recall one British nanny (Janus1970s) discussing her nanny roles, 1940s/50s. She cared for many daughters & her discipline was a spanking OTK, "hairbrush long and hard on the bare buttocks with knickers always put down and skirts hoisted". She never wavered, delightfully strident in her advice & actions.
In one family in the 1940s, things differed - she was not the main spanker. So when they gotten naughty, at her discretion, she would took the two young daughters to their father, in his study, for the cane on their bare bottoms over the chair. She stood steadfast, and watched the whoopings, and then took the bawling girls back down to "the classroom/lounge" after their punishment. Delightful, "good old days" , B!!!
In retrospect, I obviously do wish our babysitters had spanked me & my sister on our bare bums way back in the 1960s & 70s :-)
Alas, mom did not requite them to smack us (unsurprisingly!)
Moreover, mother told the babysitters on arrival, that we girls would have our panties pulled down for the cane on our bare botties when mom gotten home, if the baby sitter had said we were bad! GULP! That sure was incentive to be good, B!!
But Oh my! Drawing 5 shows me what might have been in our house in yore !!??! Needless, to say, our princess besties gotten bare bottom spankings a bunch, from babysitters & loco parentis scenarios. And y'all shared stories of smacked bottoms. That was simply Southern life in our Christian circle of friends n families.

Witnessing, receiving & experiencing countless spankings of daughters n nieces (AKA my princess besties) in Georgia in the 60s/70s, I chuckled at the reality of panties being dragged down (accidentally) along with shorts/pants/trousers, like this first drawing.. Girls would often instinctively pull them back up quickly in situ....a scary reflex (illogical of course)...ergo: only for mom to then pull them back down within seconds, for the tender bare botty reveal for proper discipline!! Bare, red princess botties were nothing but normal (& indeed necessary!) everywhere in the South.
Some mons n aunts might continue with scolding & a strict, fierce narrative at this time ("Just leave your panties, already! They are coming down anyway!!") whereas some silent stern moms would say nothing...and just pull them down regardless (with strident intention & purpose) & continue with the much needed spanking process. All these details, variations & observations fascinated me growing up...and ever sense, naturally!
I will try to think of some storyline scenarios for you, B. Oh my! Although hopefully my posts do already contain ideas from my factual-type reporting, evidence & anecdotes.
